The Tenmile Lakes Association hosted a very successful event this year on Wulfy Beach for the Lakeside & Tenmile Lake Independence Day Celebration! The event was held July 3rd in Lakeside, Oregon. TLA hosted a Snack Shack and sold out of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and sodas and almost sold out of ice cream too! The Lakeside Fire Department was also there at the Celebration cooking up fresh oysters. They sold out and had to go get more! The Human Bean was there on site serving up fresh hot coffee, tea, and hot cocoa through a donation to the fireworks display. We also had a face painter, Sparklz Face & Body Art who not brought smiles to the faces of many children but also made light up unicorn horns that attached to their foreheads. The horns were all the rage at this year's celebration for the kids.
The annual fireworks team created another amazing display of lights over the water of Tenmile Lake. We were also graced with musical entertainment this year. The fabulous Thommy Mason opened the evening with some beautiful acoustic music. The band Local Honey played the rest of the evening and had people up on their feet and dancing the night away! Taylor Winona gave an awesome rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. It was a magical night indeed.
We appreciate the volunteers without whom the celebration would not have been possible. A special thanks goes out to Julie Robbers and Blume Bauer for organizing the Snack Shack and entertainment on the beach. Thank you also to Ken Robbers for set up and delivery of equipment for the event.
See you all next year!
