Aeration Project - TLBP reviewed 2 bids. Stay tuned

Designs for Wetland engineering look good for Big Creek, Templeton, Coleman Arm.

Outreach Committee

  • Earth Day Cleanup 4/23/22 - Need to get the word out

  • June 18 Fathers day weekend (experience Lakeside) - Who can volunteer at the TLA booth?

  • 4th of July booth, sale, and information - Alan looked at ABC fundraising. No food prep, but items to sale. Will discuss more at the next meeting.

  • Update on Tenmile Creek Restoration → working

  • Algae report = none present

  • TLBP and TLA should find lakefront owners who have an interest for Septic repair and replacement grants for DEQ, Criteria and proposals from Tenmile Lakes (income-based). Waiting to see rules from DEQ for income levels.

The January rainfall at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport was well below the 1902=2022 average, 3.40" vs. 9.97". This was the 9th driest January since 1902, and four of the nine have happened since 2001. Since October 1, 2021, the beginning of water year 2022, the airport has received 27.86" vs. an average of 34.43". – Compiled by John Colby, Hydrologist

February is another dry month unfortunately. The February rainfall at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport was approximately a third of the 1902-2022 average, 2.32" vs. 7.86". – Compiled by John Colby, Hydrologist

8.6’ April 6, 2022

The March rainfall at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport was 4.58 inches vs. the 1902-2022 March average of 7.57 inches. The Airport is now 15.10 inches below the period-of-record average for the water year (water years run October 1st to September 30th), and 12.16 inches below the 1991-2020 climate normal. – Compiled by John Colby, Hydrologist

New Business

  • Floating toilets - they have been removed and how do we get them back?

    • Recommend for TLA to gather letters of support for new toilets.

    • Add something on the TLA website asking for support (Blume or John)
